The journey

I know this path — I've walked it myself.

Your personal expert on the ground

I know what it feels like to stand in front of closed doors in a foreign country, not understand the language, and still have to find a way through. I've walked that path myself — which is exactly why I know every hurdle that lies ahead of you.

Claudio Rodrigues

In 2007, I moved with my family from Switzerland to Madeira. What followed was my first real encounter with Portuguese bureaucracy: long waits, unclear procedures, conversations I could barely follow. That experience has shaped me ever since.

I decided not just to arrive, but to truly belong, and within a year I was speaking fluent Portuguese. As a teenager, I was already accompanying German-speaking acquaintances to government offices and interpreting for them — with no idea that this would one day become my profession.

Later, I worked in real estate and kept seeing the same pattern: people got help buying a property, then were left alone with the authorities and paperwork afterwards. To me, it was obvious that this was exactly where I wanted to keep helping.

For my professional development, I moved to Germany and spent several successful years as a self-employed financial advisor. But Madeira remained my second home, and the pull to return grew stronger every year.

Today, I bring together my experience in bureaucracy, real estate, and financial advising to personally guide people through their fresh start on Madeira — with knowledge I didn't read about, but lived. A relocation should begin with anticipation, not uncertainty.

Who am I?

Hands-on, attentive, solution-driven.

I roll up my sleeves where others hesitate, and find solutions where others only see obstacles. That's what I learned when I had to find my own way in an unfamiliar system.

I want to give you that same feeling — of being understood and accompanied. No frustration, no detours, with someone by your side who truly listens.

Why clients work with me

Personal, not anonymous

You have one fixed point of contact — me — not a rotating cast of case workers.

Learned the language myself

I learned Portuguese as an adult, so I know first-hand what it takes to master a new language.

Rooted on the island

My local network and knowledge of Madeira open doors that would otherwise stay closed.

Swiss reliability

Structure, punctuality, and transparency — values I bring from my Swiss heritage.
